Knee High Mini Tours shares the joy and love of our miniature horses so that others may be refreshed in mind, body, and spirit

Mission Statement

Knee High Mini Tours is committed to creating nurturing interactions between people and miniature horses in an atmosphere of safety, love, happiness, and relaxation.   Our desire is to merge our love of our mini horses with our interest in helping individuals with special needs.  Through animal guided interactions we strive to improve physical, emotional, cognitive and social skills, bringing joy to people in nursing homes, healthcare and educational facilities.

Knee High Mini Tours is run entirely by volunteers.  We need energetic, compassionate, people to be trained to work with the minis.  Volunteers learn about EGI, Equine Guided Interactions, how to handle the mini horses, and how to interact with our clients.  Volunteers are an important component of Knee High Mini Tours.

Volunteer Training

Knee High Mini Tours operates solely on donations.  All donations received help the minis with their community work.   Our services are offered free of charge to other non-profits and to people with special needs.  All funds go to the expenses of the horses and to our equine/general liability insurance.  There are no paid positions in our organization.
